My screen prints

I've done screen printing many times before but for some reason, all my previous knowledge about this print process went out of the window this time!
I couldn't remember half of the setting-up process and I became really stressed over it.
With guidance and help, I found how quickly the print process could be done.

My prints

This was one of the scruffiest prints. The ink bled outside the design and smudged on other parts of the paper.
I know that this was because I pressed the ink too many times through the mesh with the squeegee.
I accidentally gained myself another print too, as the paper I laid below this piece of paper also had my design printed onto it.

Although difficult to see, this is one of my strongest screen prints. The edges are really precise. I should have masked off the areas outside the triangle to prevent them from being printed too (as it ruins the quality). I know next time to do this.
I dragged the ink only twice for this print and found the result to be better than before.

I experimented with using two colours. I used black and red layers but when I dragged the ink down the mesh, the ink mixed together and produced a dark red colour. It wasn't the intention. I noticed Kerri Richardson did the same thing and her print came out red with black patches over it, which looked really good!
