My laser cuttings

The laser cutter was a great print process to use for precise results. Because it works with vector images, it creates an accurate and clean outcome. The machine looks a little daunting though, especially when we were told about how the laser can possibly cause a fire if using an odd material.

My prints

This is one of the engraved prints. It looks more like a drawing than an engraved design.

This was my first attempt for a cut-through print.
Because the card was too thick, it only simply engraved (or rather, burned into the card).
I adjusted the setting to 3mm card for cut-through.

This is a successful cut-through.
For some reason, because I adjusted the setting on the computer, the laser went around my design four times! I was starting to panic in case it caught fire, but luckily it didn't.
I realised I could do spray painting with a cut-through print. The outcome would look really neat.

These are the pieces that were cut away from the cut-through print.
I could use the moose itself for an animation prop or even for stamping or drawing around. It could come in handy for lots of things really.
